Samsung went all out with their Galaxy VR booth at CES 2017. They had a handful of various demos involving full motion seating that synced with the VR video, some more extreme than others.
We tried out the most extreme of the demos which was a full 360 motion seat that whipped from side to side and rotated upside down simulating various aerodynamics of an immersive flight video. It was a lot of fun and clearly took a lot of effort to craft such a colossal exhibit.
The VR was utilizing the Galaxy phone so after experiencing some of the other VR demos utilizing the HTC Vive and PS VR sets, there was obviously a noticeable discrepancy regarding the overall quality. However, taking into consideration it was done completely from a smartphone, was impressive nonetheless. The one thing lacking here was the complete absence of audio. I really feel they missed an opportunity with that.
